Children and Youth Ministries

In partnership with the parents and church members, we aim to help the children and youth, along with their friends, to grow to know and love Jesus more.

For the Children

We have programs for Infants (Toddlers – Year 2) as well as Primary (Years 3-6) children.

Sunday School is held at both 9:00am and 10:45am.

The children enjoy a time of singing, Bible stories, craft and other activities, both in a large group and smaller class settings.

For the Youth

The name of our youth group is Foundation Youth (FY). It caters for youth in Years 7-12 and aims to help them “Believe, Belong, Branch”

We have two opportunities for our youth to meet and grow:

FY meets on Friday nights from 7:00pm – 9:30pm in the Church Hall (with Dinner once a month)
Sunday Youth Program (Years 7-12) meets on Sundays at 9am at the chapel, while another Sunday Youth Program (cater for Year 7 & 8 only) at 10:45am

9 am Sunday School

The 9am Sunday School is a happy, vibrant place where children in Infants (Kindergarten to Year 2) and Primary School (Years 3-6) age are taught, trained, shown and shared experience the wonders of our great big God.

It is scheduled at this time to allow parents to be able to drop their children off prior to the beginning of the 9am Cantonese Service, and pick them up directly after service.

Infants will join in an assembly where they sing, recite memory verses and have a Bible lesson before they attend their individual classes (organised according to their ages) where there is another Bible lesson followed by crafts.

Primary school-aged children will attend the first 15 minutes of Kids Praise with High school children before joining the Sunday School.

This allows them to participate in singing praises to God. Some of the children will eventually have opportunities to serve in music ministry, offertory, Bible reading, and prayer during the Kids Praise session.

10:45am Sunday School

The 10:45am Sunday School is a happy, vibrant place where children in Infants (Kindergarten to Year 2) and Primary School (Years 3-6) age are taught about Christianity.

It is scheduled at this time to allow parents to be able to drop their children off prior to the beginning of the Mandarin Service or 10:45am English Service and pick them up directly after service.

On the first Sunday of each month, the Mandarin Service and 10:45am English Service will be family services where the children will attend either the Mandarin Service or 10:45am English Service together with their parents.

Sunday Youth Program

We have a strong and vibrant Sunday Youth program regularly attended by teens from high schools.

Friday Foundation Youth (FY)

Friday Foundation Youth (FY) is a group of high school students from around Sydney who meet on most Friday nights to learn from the Bible, play some fun games, build strong friendships with one another and share the good news about Jesus to their friends.

Our usual Friday program includes

● Music
● Games
● Small group sharing and prayer
● Bible study or talk/discussion
● Supper

Every month we have a FY dinner and it has been wonderful to have the parents serve FY by providing dinners for the young people. Dinner is a great time of bonding amongst the youth and the leaders alike.
